Former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg is at it again. This time he’s convinced himself that a top-down organization funded by rich liberals like himself is a “grass-roots effort”. Last week he announced “Everytown for Gun Safety“, a terrible play on words that switches the word “New” with “Every” in a shameless attempt to evoke emotion over a tragedy. The new organization is an umbrella group for his two other gun groups, “Mayors Against Illegal Guns” and “Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America”. Continue reading →
When Colorado passed its citizen-driven Amendment 64 to legalize marijuana, the far-left members of the Democratic party saw it as a welcome mat on the door of public policy. Senate President John Morse and Senator Angela Giron jumped at the opportunity to introduce stifling gun control legislation in the wake of the Aurora theater and Newtown shootings, no doubt expecting overwhelming support in what they believed was a new liberal paradise.
Yesterday a rally entitled “Guns Across America” was held at each state capitol to demonstrate to the government that our rights are not up for “discussion”, nor are they to be sold to the highest bidding politician. Continue reading →
